Precision X-Ray Installs First X-RAD SmArt with Micro Focus CT

NORTH BRANFORD, Conn., Nov. 6, 2017 – Precision X-Ray Inc. (PXi), the leader in biological specimen cabinet irradiators and radiation research systems, successfully installed the first       X-RAD SmART with micro focus CT capability at S. Raffaele Hospital in Milan, Italy. The micro focus option allows the researcher to use the SmART system for ultra-high-resolution imaging of small animals, as well as its intended use as an Image Guided Radiation Research platform.

Researchers at the facility commented that the resulting micro focus images were of a quality normally found on systems that only performed CT imaging of small animals and could be more expensive.

Precision X-Ray offers a full line of X-ray irradiation systems as well as options for applications including scientific, pharmaceutical and preclinical research. Known for the reliability of its systems and a commitment to customer service and satisfaction, Precision X-Ray offers field and in-house service, free lifetime telephone support and preventative maintenance contracts to ensure that customers’ equipment is operating at peak performance.
